Fairplay, Colorado
Four-Wheeling Trails

Fairplay is located 21 miles north of Antero Junction on U.S. Hwy 285 at an elevation of 9,896 feet. The town is minutes from trailheads in the South Park Ranger District of the Pike National Forest and is the major supply point for those four-wheeling in the region.

Boreas Pass South Park Ranger District Boreas Pass Road consists of improved dirt and gravel, and follows the abandoned route of the Denver, South Park and Pacific Railroad.
Breakneck Pass Road South Park Ranger District Breakneck Pass leads west from Weston Pass into Sheep Park. Initially used to access mining prospects, the road sees very little use today.
Browns Pass Road South Park Ranger District Browns Pass lies near timber line on Sheep Ridge. Directly to the west visitors can get a brilliant view of Horseshoe Mountain.
China Wall Road South Park Ranger District China Wall Road is short, approximately 2.5 miles one way. It begins on the Tarryall Road and descends into the Tarryall Creek drainage.
Crystal Creek Road South Park Ranger District Crystal Creek Road is located west of the West Creek area. A series of motorized trails are designated in this region for ATVs and motorcycles.
Georgia Pass South Park Ranger District Georgia Pass has been an access route into the Breckenridge Valley for more than a century. First Indians used it then gold seekers, today the Colorado Trail leads hikers over the pass.
Hackett Gulch Loop South Park Ranger District The Hackett Gulch area encompasses the beautiful canyon along the South Platte River. Fishing, camping and motorized recreation are popular pastimes along this stretch of the river.
LaSalle Pass South Park Ranger District La Salle Pass Road is located north of Wilkerson Pass. It leads through the Puma Hills immediately north of Badger Mountain and accesses upper Tarryall Creek from South Park.
