located 21 miles north of Antero Junction on U.S. Hwy 285 at an elevation
of 9,896 feet. The
campgrounds near Fairplay provide easy access to boating, backpacking,
fishing, hiking, biking, four-wheeling, and horseback riding. Winter activities
include snowshoeing, snowmobiling, and cross-country skiing.
