Mountain Biking in Central Colorado
Home to over 1000 miles of scenic trails.

The towns of Central Colorado are minutes from the best biking trails and roads in the Colorado Rockies. The variety of trails, year-round riding, and scenic beauty make Central Colorado one of the top biking areas in the nation. Local trails and roads offer rides suitable for the entire family, as well as adventure seekers looking for the ultimate biking challenge.

The mountain biking season begins early each year. Mountain trails begin opening up in April. The season doesn't end until the snow muddies the trails in late October.

Central Colorado offers fat trackers more than 1,000 miles of scenic trails to ride. Many roads in the region are designated as Scenic Byways and are very popular among road biking enthusiasts. Whether you're fat tracking or road biking you will find spectacular vistas in this region of majestic mountains, broad plateaus, rugged canyons, crystal clear streams, and scenic mountain lakes.

Absolute Bikes - Salida Colorado

Absolute Bikes

Absolute Bikes is a year-around, full-service bicycle shop. We don't switch out our cycling goods for skis and snowboards when the "season" is over. For us, the season is all year. We ride all year, and we serve customers who want to be able to visit a bike shop all year.

Our staff ride all kinds of bikes. Some commute, some race, some circle Salida's numerous dirt pump tracks, some ride road, some ride dirt--but most of us would check All of the Above when filling out a survey about our riding habits. We work at a shop, this shop, because we love bikes and riding bikes.

Open Monday thru Sunday, 9AM to 7PM, reserve your rental bike today by calling 719-539-9295
